Position Summary

Innovative Contractors is seeking a dedicated, reliable, and motivated Vacuum Truck Technician Trainee to join our team. No prior experience is required—we will fully train you on the job! If you have a strong work ethic, a desire to learn a valuable trade, and a clean driving record, this is your opportunity to build a career from the ground up. You will work alongside experienced technicians to operate powerful industrial vacuum equipment, service utility infrastructure, and keep our communities running smoothly.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Equipment Operation: Learn to safely set up, operate, and maintain high-powered vacuum trucks

  • Infrastructure Support: Assist with cleaning and servicing lift stations, catch basins, storm drains, and wastewater systems.

  • Confined Space Operations: Work safely within specialized utility environments and confined spaces (Required—we will provide full safety training and certifications).

  • Site Care & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment to prevent hazards on the job site.

  • Teamwork & Hustle: Listen closely to instructions, take initiative, and work hard to support your crew leader on daily routes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: None required! We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn, follow directions, and show up reliably every day.

  • Core Skills: Demonstrated technical and mechanical aptitude with an ability to use basic hand tools and make smart choices in the field.

  • Driving Record: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (Crucial for operating or moving company fleet vehicles).

  • Physical Stamina: Ability to regularly manipulate and lift up to 50 pounds, and push or pull heavy vacuum hoses up to 100 pounds.
