Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder / Fabricator to join our growing team. In this role, you won't just be laying beads, you will be taking projects from raw metal and blueprints to fully completed fabrications. The ideal candidate possesses a strong blend of precision welding capability and structural fabrication skills. Essential Responsibilities

  • Welding & Assembly: Perform high-quality MIG/TIG/Stick welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, or aluminum assemblies according to job specifications.

  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, structural engineering drawings, fabrication layouts, and weld symbols accurately.

  • Fabrication & Fit-Up: Measure, cut, grind, bevel, torch, and align metal components. Use shop tools, saws, brakes, and torches to prep raw materials.

  • Quality Control: Inspect finished welds for quality, strength, and aesthetic alignment to eliminate defects before final production.

  • Safety & Upkeep: Follow OSHA guidelines, wear mandatory PPE (welding hood, safety glasses, steel-toed boots), and maintain a clean work cell.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional welding and custom metal fabrication experience desired but not necessary.

  • Technical Skills: Proven capability to layout, square, fit, and tack complex weldments independently using jigs and fixtures.

  • Measurement: Elite tape-measure reading skills and strong foundational math for accurate fabrication layouts.

  • Testing: Ability to pass a mandatory, on-site practical hands-on weld test.

  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs. regularly, and work safely in a hot, active shop environment.
